About Us

After graduating from Penn State University and spending years gaining hands on experience, Randy started Randy Mitchell Quarter Horses in 1991. Randy specializes in hand picking and training futurity horses not only for himself but also for non-pro riders. His clientele consists of novice, youth, amateur and select riders. Randy’s main goal for every individual is to match the right horse and rider no matter what the level of competition. He holds lifetime AQHA and NSBA memberships.

In 2000, Randy married Darcy Anthony. They now have two children, Cole born in 2003 and Allison born in 2007. Their families both reside in Western Pennsylvania.

Darcy graduated from Edinboro University and currently is a stay at home mom. She shows in non-pro futurity events, specializing in 2 year olds, and handles the office management of Randy Mitchell Quarter Horses.

The farm is located on 10 acres and features an outstanding training facility where the best of care is provided for each animal. The show barn includes 20 stalls, spacious indoor and outdoor riding pens, a 6-horse walker, heated office, tack room, wash rack and numerous other amenities.
